Ireland’s reputed small press launched a wonderful mentoring program for emerging writers this year and I am happy to be the one selected to work on my poems with a poet whose work I have discovered since I arrived in Belfast and have come to admire greatly. The mentorship has been offered to two writers, each selected to work with a poet of their choice.
Another milestone, and so looking forward to all the work we will accomplish together.
In the meantime, my workshop with Rachel Long began last week and it was such fun to deliberate on painfully modern things and how to write poetry about them. I can’t wait for the second session this evening.
