Evolution programme 2025-26

By

Truly delighted to be one of the awardees of the Irish Writers Centre‘s Evolution Programme 2025–26. For me, it represents an opportunity to deepen my literary practice in the broader craft of writing across genres.
As a writer and an economic historian, I see this as a vital step toward sharpening how I tell stories that bridge literature, history, research and public readership. I understand that writing history requires the same attentiveness to language and structure as literary writing, and the Evolution Programme offers a space to refine those tools, besides helping me finish a book I am half-way through. I am particularly delighted to be part of a cohort of brilliant writers – the chance to learn alongside and from them is a privilege in itself.
I am grateful to the Irish Writers Centre for this opportunity, and I look forward to how the twin disciplines – research and literature – will continue to shape and challenge each other in my work.
